Scared of slipping over? I am. But people do run you know, IN the rain. They're not scared/afraid/wimpy. Like me.
But with the weather as it has been - sunny and glorious one minute, then humid and damp the next, what choice do we have? It's raining as I type - and luckily for me, I was done at the gym before the day was even light (PT session at 5:30am anyone??) and I don't plan to run today. BUT - that's not to say I wouldn't. I would just run carefully. Maybe.
Just have these basic things in mind:
1. Dress in layers (inner - made of material that will wick the sweat/water away from your body, and an outer: windproof etc.. yadayada)
2. Keep the rain out of your eyes! Wear a hat with a rim.
3. Lube. You know why. Wet socks (etc) + friction = BLISTERS/ PAIN
4. Plastic bag your electronics!
5. Prepare. Have a towel and change of clothes/ path to the shower all READY for you when you get back indoors. (COSY)
